Description

The Whirlwind PRESSMITE is a professional, compact, active press feed box, having the capacity to distribute 12 clean mic-level signals and 2 line-level signals, and featuring high isolation between outputs. It provides 60 dB of gain adjustment on input, which accepts mic or line-level signals.

Important Notes:

For extra reliability, two 9V batteries may be plugged in case of power failure. Batteries are not included and are the responsibility of the renter.

So, do I need 9V batteries or not for the Whirlwind PRESSMITE?
It depends on how you are using it! If you don’t have access to power, then yes, you will need two 9V Batteries. However, if you have access to power, use the provided power supply and you are good to go! (Batteries would only serve as a backup option, in the event of power failure.)

How would you use this for a press conference?
Good question! This is a great press box (a.k.a. mult box) option. Plug a wired microphone into the input. From the line-level outputs, run XLR cables to the PA speakers. Camera operators will use one of the twelve outputs for their camera feed. Super easy!
